I really can't believe that I'm already here, at spring break, three quarters through my school year.  It is crazy how fast this came up, and I'm sure it will be crazy how fast it will go.  Things are going very well, though and I'm still doing good, still living and having fun.  This week I'm staying home for break but..... I'm getting VISITORS!!!!!  My mom is getting into town in about three hours and my sister and a wonderful friend will be here in about 60 hours-ish.  We're going to go hiking, shopping, eating good food, and just spending time together.  I can't wait to introduce people who are incredibly important to me to new people who are becoming increasingly important to me.  I have been blessed to have made some amazing friends here who are not only fun to be with, but are helping me grow as a Christian.  Hopefully they like each other.  Other than that, life continues blissfully normal.  I hope everyone enjoyed the day set aside to specifically remember what a gift salvation is.

  It seems the more I think that I'll have time off to relax and catch up with this thing, I more I seem to fill it up.  Things have been going very well lately.  I was blessed to be able to come home for a week at Christmas.  I think that was just enough time, I got see my family and friends get at least enough hugs until I get my next visitor from the north.  My sis and bro-in-law made me cry with such a thoughtful Christmas gift.  I hadn't asked for it, but the fact that they thought of it (especially since I've never been quite positive that my bro-in-law likes me) just brought me to tears.  When we went around and said what we were thankful for, I wasn't the only one crying though.  As good as it was to be home, it was nice to get back to my new "home". 

North Carolina will take quite a while to be my home, but it's starting to feel like it.  I am so thankful for the friends I've made here.  We hang out, have fun, and just "do life together".  A few weeks ago, at about 11 pm on a Sun night, some friends and I decided that we should drive to the Waffle house and while we were at it, head down to the beach for sunrise.  So around midnight, 5 of us packed into a jeep and took off.  While I'm not sure I will ever eat waffle house again, the memories from the trip were worth it.  We got back in town around 10, just in time to sleep away the day and get up to party for New Year's.  Talk about fun.

Then comes the grind.  This is our first full week back and it has been the longest week of my life.  I kept thinking that each day had to be Friday, but nope, no such luck.  Other than that, life is good and i'm still loving NC and teaching.
